13 Days Left.... Am I Ready?

Hey Everyone! I hope everyone's Christmas was as awesome as mine was! It was great to visit with family, but I will admit that it was a little difficult knowing that it would be my last Christmas for 2 years. I have 13 DAYS! That's less than 2 weeks, yes, less than 2 WEEKS! Words cannot describe how excited I am! I am a little nervous but who wouldn't be? I started packing all of my stuff that was just taking up space like the 8 dress shirts that I have to take and all that jazz. I have been blessed to be able to go out and spend an evening with some aunts and uncles and grandparents, that has been quite fun! The New Year will be here in 1 day! Next week I will be visiting with some more people and finishing up my packing. I am hoping to have my packing done the Friday or Saturday before I leave so that those last few days, I just have to enjoy my family and nothing else. As you all know, I will be giving my Farewell Talk on Sunday January 10. Services start at 10:00 AM. There are three, 1 hour meetings at our Church. The first meeting is from 10:00-11:00 AM, and that is the meeting where I will be giving my farewell talk. There will be a baptism after Church that day so my farewell party will be around 2:00 at my house. Everyone is welcome! Always remember that all of you are awesome! Thanks for the support and love that you share! Again, everyone is welcome to be included in my weekly email updates, if you would like. daniel.espinoza@myldsmail.net

I love all of you! Happy New Years and Have a good weekend!

Merry Christmas!

Hey Guys! I am going ahead and sharing this post now so that I can focus on family during the next few days, so Merry Christmas! Today I hit 3 weeks until I leave! About 2 1/2 weeks until my farewell talk/setting apart, and all that good stuff! I am getting excited and a little nervous. Anyways, I guess I'll start by saying that my Farewell Talk will be 10:00 AM on January 10, at 1503 Glendale Rd, Marietta, Ohio. The Sacrament service is 1 hour. Following the end of all Church meetings at 1:00 PM, there will be a farewell party at the Chichester household. Everyone is welcome! I am so grateful for the wonderful opportunity to serve the Lord! Time is going by faster than I can explain. It is quite amazing. There will be more about this in my Farewell talk, but the foundation that I am built upon at this time would not be possible without amazing parents to look up to along with great church leaders that led and guided me, and I am grateful for that. I could go on and on but I don't think that is necessary haha! Anyways I will continue to keep you up to date. Just let me know again, if you want to get together before I go. I am going to reserve the weekend before I leave and the week that I leave for my immediate family only so just an FYI. Remember the reason for the season! It is not about temporal gifts. It's about the gift of Jesus Christ, and Heavenly Father's sacrifice of sending him to this earth! christmas.mormon.org

I love all of you!

34, ALMOST 33 Days!!

Each day I am becoming more and more amazed at how time flies. Almost 33 days, less than 5 weeks, I will be entering the Mexico Missionary Training Center to begin my mission! I am so excited!! So, today I actually received a letter from my mission president, and I am super excited about that. President Palmer and his wife seem so wonderful, I cannot wait to meet them. So I found out that my mission is a driving and biking mission, meaning that I will be able to drive in some areas and bike in others and even do a little bit of both in some areas! Needless to say I am getting quite excited to begin this amazing adventure. I was going to share some words and feelings about the Temple but I think that will fit better for next week. I keep saying all of my shopping for my mission is done but that never really is true hahaha. Grandma Kathy always allows my sisters and I to pick out our own Christmas gifts and then she wraps them and we get them Christmas Day. It takes a lot of stress off of her. I have been telling family that all I need is money because of the restrictions of luggage size and the limited type of items customs will allow across the border. But today when she made me go, I got a peacoat for my mission and a scarf because I love scarves! But anyways, that was my day today. My studies have been going quite well, I enjoy studying the Preach My Gospel manual more frequently and acquainting my self with the many mission rules in the missionary handbook. Now I am down to going to the Temple next week, Christmas the week after, New Years the week after that, hopefully my farewell party the week after that, and then adiĆ³s for 2 years! This is nuts! Anyways, if you want to hang out or anything before I am gone, let me know and we can figure something out, I am pretty open availability.

With love,

Daniel

Shopping: A Success

A lot of us have experienced going into a clothing store and being there for what seems like hours as a mother or siblings try on item after item of clothing with no success in finding the "perfect" piece of clothing...

Still Waiting: What I've Learned

So as you may already know, I have the patience of a two year old when it comes to awaiting my mission call. I have had the patience for Autistic Children, for poorly trained employees, for difficult guests at work, for traffic in Austin, Texas, and many more things but for some reason the awaiting of my mission call has tested my patience greatly. I met with the Stake President on October 18, 2015, directly after church. After a thorough interview...

Awaiting the Call: The Wait of a Lifetime!

So as you may imagine, waiting for a mission call seems like it takes FOREVER to arrive. I submitted my application to the Stake President on October 18, 2015. After some missing information was found that application was submitted 6 days later. 4 days after the submission to Church Headquarters, my dad received a call from Church Headquarters,
